We’ve done our best to anticipate any questions you may have. If you don’t see the answer you’re looking for in this list of faqs, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Can I come by the shop to see the vans before I reserve one?
Absolutely! Just let us know ahead of time so that one of us is around to give you a tour of the shop and the vans. We’re also happy to schedule a FaceTime walkthrough for outoftowners.
How does the check in / check out process work?

Our check in/check out process is super simple and intentionally streamlined to get you on the road quickly. Each van is equipped with a lock box (we will send you the access code on the day of your rental) that you can use to open up the van and begin getting acquainted. Once inside, pull up our website on your mobile phone to complete the departure process. 

If you prefer an in-person tour or simply want a chance to chat with a local about great places to visit nearby, just let us know and we’ll be happy to do a full walkthrough with you. 

Upon your return, you’ll again use your smartphone to note any new damage to the vehicle, part ways with your trusty steed, and be on your merry way. As always, if you’d prefer a face-to-face check in (and want to tell us all about your trip!) we’ll be more than happy to meet you upon your arrival.

Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are welcome (and encouraged!) to join in on the fun for no additional fee. That said, clean up after them as if you were in your own home. As always, we reserve the right to charge any additional cleaning and damage fees incurred from pet hair, chewing, scratching, or excessive messiness. 
How do I choose which van is right for me?

Each of our vans has something unique to offer. In order to figure out which van will best suit your needs, just give us a call. Are your vans manual or automatic?
Both! Our VW Vanagons come in both automatic and manual, while our Transits are all automatic.
Where can I camp in my van?

The sky is the limit. We have tested the waters of everything from designated campgrounds and roadside pull offs to RV parks, ski resort bases and the parks near our favorite restaurants and bars. Therein lies the beauty of campervan camping – whenever you’re ready to pause, just throw the van in park and get cozy. As always, we recommend abiding by local parking laws. 

When should I book my campervan?
We suggest booking your adventure at least a few weeks in advance, especially during our peak summer months. That said, our fleet is large and we know that schedules are unpredictable, so never hesitate to give us a last minute call to see what we have available. 
Can I extend my trip once it has started?
While we cannot guarantee extensions, if the van is available for additional requested days, we are happy to extend your adventure. Just reach out and we’ll do our best to make it happen.  
What furnishings can I expect inside the vans?

We are strong believers that being out on the road is made all the better by having a comfortable and cozy home-base to return to. For this reason, we have stocked each van with carefully chosen kitchen, bed, and bath products intended to bring a touch of indulgence to your time on the road. Do you offer any discounts?

We offer both trip duration and group trip discount rates.

Trip duration discounts: These discounts will be automatically applied at checkout if your reservation qualifies – no code required!

  • Trips of 7 + days = 5% off
  • Trips of 1 month + = 10% off
  • Trips of 2 months + = 15% off

Group trip discounts: We offer group rates depending on the size of your group (rentals of 2+ vans qualify). To receive group discount rates, please either give us a call or a shoot over an e-mail and we’ll get you sorted.

What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel your campervan rental for free up to 30 days prior to your pick up date and we will refund your entire deposit. Cancellations within a 14-30 days window of your pick up date will be charged a flat fee of $250. Unfortunately, if you cancel within two weeks or no show, we’ll have to charge you for the full rental, as it limits our ability to keep our merry fleet on the road.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds or discounts for early van return. Instead, we recommend taking the scenic route, or stopping at a nearby hot springs.

Are there travel distance limitations?
Your rental comes with 100 miles per day. Any additional miles on top of that will be charged at a rate of $0.35 per mile. That said, if you’ve set your sights on a lengthy voyage and 100 miles per day does not feel sufficient, we suggest adding one of our additional mileage packages to your rental.

  • 200 miles per day = $18
  • 300 miles per day = $36
  • Unlimited mileage = $48
What is my responsibility as a driver?
Treat our vans as if they were your own and use your best judgement when it comes to questionable weather and road conditions. We want to ensure that  every person who rents our vans is sent out in a clean, safe and well-maintained van. As such, any damage that is incurred from driver error or poor driving decisions will result in a repair or replacement fee. 
We’re in Colorado, can I smoke in the campervan?
Do what you please outside of the vans, but refrain from smoking or vaping of any sort inside the vans. Any evidence of smoking or vaping will result in a $250 minimum deep cleaning fee.
Do I need to clean the van prior to returning?
We thoroughly clean the interior, exterior and wash all linens before each van heads out on an adventure. While we will deep clean the van upon its return, we ask that you please return vans in a reasonably clean state, similar to when you first picked it up. All linens should be placed in the provided laundry bag, all trash should be disposed of, and fridges should be left empty. Additional cleaning fees will be incurred for excessively messy vans. 
What if I am late returning my van?

While we want you to enjoy your adventure to the fullest, returning vans late can interfere with the next rental and therefore can incur additional charges. That said, if you’re running late, let us know and we’ll help out as best we can.

What if my van breaks down?
If you do not have a personal AAA policy, we highly recommend purchasing our Roadside Assistance for $10 per day. This package provides 24 hr towing and winching, delivery of fuel and emergency fluids, flat tire replacement, jump start, locksmith, mobile mechanic, and a technical assistance hotline. Please note that our vehicles are not permitted to be taken off road.

Bottom line, sometimes vans break down, and if it happens to you, we’ll do everything in our power to make it right. If you run into an issue, never hesitate to give us a call so that we can figure out a solution and get you back on the road. 

How are your vans cleaned between rentals?

Especially in the wake of Covid19, cleanliness remains a top priority to our team. All surfaces of the vans are disinfected between rentals including all countertops, seats, door handles, light switches, dash board and steering wheel, fridges, cooktops, sinks, floors, etc. All kitchen-ware is sanitized in the dishwasher and all sheets are run through the ‘sanitize’ setting between each use. Your comfort in our vans is our highest priority, so we’ve taken all measures to ensure the cleanliness of our vans meet your standards, and ours. Luckily for us, our teammember Zoë is a licensed RN, so our team is well versed in sanitization best practices.
